It is almost 3 years to the day that I accepted the position of Executive Director of the Heart and Soul Free Clinic. During these 3 years, we have seen the Clinic grow at an explosive rate. We have seen an increase both in the number of patients we see each year but also the programs we offer our patients. In the last 3 years, the Clinic has moved locations and launched a mobile medical unit that has the ability to provide medical care outside of the four walls of our space. I am blown away by all we have accomplished together over the course of these past years. I am also excited for the next chapter for the Heart and Soul Free Clinic and all that you will do for our uninsured and underinsured friends in Hamilton County and the surrounding areas. It is bitter sweet that I will not be joining you in my current capacity as Executive Director in this next chapter.

I am stepping away from Heart and Soul to pursue my PhD in social work at Indiana University full-time. I am looking forward to this goal that has been present in my heart from a very young age. In addition to taking classes, I will also have the opportunity to teach classes, something I have also dreamt about doing from a very young age.

Assuming the position of Executive Director of the Heart and Soul Free Clinic is Lisa Kreag. Lisa began her relationship with the Heart and Soul Free Clinic as a volunteer but has 20 years of experience as a Licensed Clinic Social Worker and providing care in the hospital setting. She has held many leadership positions as well and is a lifelong resident of Hamilton County with the last 21 years in Westfield. I am excited for you to meet her! Her passion for Heart and Soul and all you do is inspirational and contagious.

While I will not be present in the day to day of the Clinic, I will be there in spirit. I am thankful for my time as the Executive Director of the Clinic and I am thankful for all you have done to serve our community. I know that Lisa will do an amazing job and I am looking forward to seeing all you achieve together.
