. Deirdre L. Matt, PT, DPT, Indiana University Health

Deirdre is a board certified cardiopulmonary physical therapist for IU Methodist with a passion for treating patients with advanced heart failure and lung transplants in both acute and outpatient settings. She joined the Heart and Soul Free Clinic Board in 2019 as a means to participate in civic leadership with a foundation of non-profit experience from Junior League (since 2011) and leadership experience from 15 years as a US Army officer.

Denise Fyffe, MBA, Senior Financial Analyst, Ascension

I joined the board in January 2021. I am a native Kentuckian. My husband, Dr. Zachary Fyffe, and I moved to Indianapolis to continue his medical training in 2019. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Kentucky in 2014 and received my Master’s in Business Administration from Sullivan University in 2016. I currently work as a Senior Financial Analyst for Ascension. The Heart and Soul Free Clinic is dear to me; I value that the organization serves a sector of the community that is often unable to access healthcare due to financial status. In my spare time, I enjoy cooking, sewing, traveling, and exploring what central Indiana has to offer.

. Laura K. Binford, JD, Riley, Bennett, Egloff, LLP

I am a graduate of North Montgomery High School, Butler University and IU McKinney School of Law. Currently, I am a partner at the law firm of Riley Bennett Egloff in Indianapolis where my practice focus is medical malpractice defense. When not working, I enjoy the lake life, family, sports, and good wine with my husband, Greg. Together, we have 6 wonderful children who are all out of college (University of Florida, Florida Atlantic University, Indiana University x2, Grinnell College and Butler University) and live as close as Indianapolis and as far as Chengdu, China. I have had the honor of serving on the Heart & Soul board since 2019.

Jennifer Woodard, RN, MSN, Ascension St. Vincent Carmel

My name is Jenny Woodard. I have gladly served on the Heart and Soul board for just over 2 years. I have been a nurse for 20 years and am currently the manager of several perioperative units at Ascension St Vincent Carmel. My husband Chris and I have two kids; Meg is 21 and a senior at the University of Alabama and Jack is 18 and a senior at Westfield High School (he will be attending Hanover College in the fall). My favorite hobbies are traveling, enjoying a good book, and working on various crafting projects. My favorite time of year is spring and summer because I enjoy spending time outside and watching my son play Baseball.

. Michelle L. Wittler DDS, MSD, Wittler Orthodontics

Dr. Michelle Wittler received a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Bowling Green State University and worked at Eli Lilly for 3 years. She then attended Indiana University School of Dentistry and received a Doctoral of Dental Science and Masters of Science in Dentistry in Orthodontics. She opened Wittler Orthodontics after graduating and has managed the business and practiced orthodontics as a solo practitioner. She served on the Board of the IUSD Orthodontic Alumni as well as the Westfield Education Foundation.

Paul lives in Westfield with his family. He works in Indianapolis as an attorney in the public sector. Paul enjoys serving on the Heart and Soul Clinic because it gives him an opportunity to give back to his community. In his free time, he enjoys exploring Hamilton County with his friends and family.

Jennifer Maxwell, Hc1

A native Hoosier, Jennifer grew up in a small town with her parents and two siblings. She graduated from Ferris State University in Big Rapids, Michigan with a degree in Music Industry Management. With a desire to be close to family, Jennifer moved back to Indiana and started her professional career at UnitedHealthcare. She eventually found her true passion in technology which led her to current role as Executive Director of Client Success at hc1, a healthcare technology company based in Indianapolis.
Growing up in rural Indiana, Jennifer developed a passion for ensuring that everyone had access to quality healthcare regardless of their economic status.
Jennifer lives in Carmel with her husband Eric and their two children, Kennedy and Beckham. They enjoy music, cooking and kitchen dance parties.

My wife, Christina, and my sons Logan, Jackson, and Tyson and I have lived in Westfield for 11 years. We attend Northview Church. I serve on the Westfield City Council and am the president of the Wellbeing Coalition of Westfield. I work at Westfield High School as the Dean of Wellness and Head Football Coach.

. Sherese Martin, MA, Rolls Royce

Sherese C. Martin is originally from Kentucky and relocated to Fishers, IN in 2006. She currently is a HR Manager at Rolls-Royce, an Associate Faculty Member at IUPUI and a HR Consultant for Conduct Curb-Autism Behavior Center. Prior to joining Rolls-Royce, Sherese has had a progressive career, working as a Sr. HR Business Partner at FedEx Ground, HR Director at Project Lead the Way, EEO/Affirmative Action & Recruitment Specialist at St. Vincent Hospital and HR Representative at Firestone Building Products.

Sherese is proud to serve as a Heart and Soul Free Clinic Board Member as well as a Riverview Health Foundation Committee Member. Sherese is a member of the Society of Human Resource Management, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and HCLA (Hamilton County Leadership Academy) 2022 Cohort. Sherese is a graduate of Western Kentucky University with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology as well as her Master’s degree in Human Resources Management. Sherese has also obtained her PHR (Professional in Human Resources), SHRM-CP (Society for Human Resource Management-Certified Professional) and CSSGB (Certified Six Sigma Green Belt).

In her free time, Sherese enjoys spending time with her daughter, family and friends, cooking, DIY home projects, working out, music and arts & crafts.

. Cynthia Brumbarger, BSN, M. ED, HealthNet, Inc

Cindy Brumbarger comes to the clinic with more than 7 years of experience as a critical care nurse. She now focuses on healthcare administration including various board positions and currently works for HealthNet as a director. She is a Westfield resident for over 25 years with a husband and 2 adult sons. Cindy and her husband Ron homeschooled their sons while touring the country in an RV and have visited every state in the continental US + Alaska! Cindy is also an annual Disney passholder and loves to hike.

Deborah Brandt, Growing Beyond Grief

Deb Brandt works as a life transitions coach with a focus on health, wellness and grief. Her background and work experience also include nonprofit management and leadership, volunteer board service and professional writing experience. Deb is looks forward to collaborating with board members and staff on behalf Heart and Soul Free Clinic.

With a passion for volunteering and giving back to his community, he hopes to have an impact on those to which we serve.

Doug Fauth
Doug is a corporate attorney with a focus on strategic planning and transactions. He is married to Melanie, a healthcare executive who operates companies offering consulting services and mind-body-medicine programs. They have three sons and one daughter-in-law (and one D-I-L to be), and enjoy the outdoors, attending concerts and travel.
